Therapy & counselling services for clients & therapists

Matt Dobrashian:
Person-Centred Therapist London (BACP)
Hi, I’m Matt - a therapist at Sanctuary Rooms North London.
Find relief when life feels overwhelming
“Difficult times can feel like a lonely, dark place. You may feel numb and withdrawn, not even knowing what's wrong. When you're uncertain where to turn, finding support is an important first step. I'll provide relief, so you can start to function better again.”
How I Will Help
Has life become too much for you? Maybe a number of issues have combined, leaving you constantly upset, on the edge. Or has there been a major occurrence that has devastated you - a relationship ending, a job eating you away, a bereavement?
Leaving you stuck with a feeling of hopelessness - unable to cope or function ‘normally.’
Perhaps you are experiencing a lack of sleep, disagreements, anger, or constantly crying. Possibly you've turned to alcohol and/or drugs, and you may even be having self-harming thoughts.
I will provide a peaceful place to explore your uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, released and truly heard and understood. When you may have lost all trust, I will be able to connect with you - providing solace and relief.
Through compassionate and insightful support, you will begin to feel stronger, sleep better, and feel free from constant worry and anxiety. Life will become less confusing, you’ll be less self-critical, beginning to feel calmer and more confident again.
With this healing comes growth. You will be able to make those difficult decisions for the changes you truly desire - moving forwards into a healthier, happier and more enjoyable, fulfilled life.

My approach:
My approach is rooted in the belief that you are the expert on your own experience. As a person-centred therapist, I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, with empathy and respect.
I practice online and face-to-face in North London and Enfield, as well as in people’s own homes if they choose. The counselling rooms are lovely places in central Enfield and also Haringey, near Turnpike Lane tube station.
Starting therapy takes courage, and it's okay to feel uncertain. You don't have to have everything figured out - just a sense that something needs to change.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Instead, we’ll go at your pace, in a way that feels supportive and meaningful to you. This could involve gently exploring your past, focusing on the present, or finding ways to manage difficult emotions day-to-day.
I believe passionately that with deeper self-knowledge and self-acceptance, we can all face a brighter future. If you're ready to explore yours, I'd be honoured to help and walk alongside you.
I hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate, happy to work with young people and adults and those with neurodiversity such as ADHD, autism and dyslexia.
I am always happy to answer any questions about how we’d work together or what to expect from therapy.

About me :
I’m a qualified person-centred counsellor and a registered member of the BACP, which means I work in line with their ethical framework - putting your wellbeing at the heart of the process.
I’ve worked with adults and young people across a range of settings, including colleges, charities and community services, supporting clients with issues such as depression, anxiety, low self-worth, grief, addictions, and difficulties with neurodiversity.
